Dr. Evan Sivesind
Dr. Sivesind is the program manager for the Iowa Pest Resistance Management Plan (IPRMP). Evan provides day-to-day management to keep the many moving parts of the IPRMP in sync as we work towards reaching our near and longer term objectives and goals. He helps the communication and outreach committee and the pilot project teams develop and implement their respective plans, and will take the lead in working with all the partnering organizations through the soon to be formed advisory committee. In addition to helping support the many implementation tasks, Evan will be keeping AgState leadership appraised of our progress and assisting the pursuit of expanded funding as we build momentum.
Evan received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Iowa, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Plant Science from McGIll University. Prior to joining Iowa State, Evan spent time in the Department of Agronomy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and working in invasive plant management in western Washington.
