Martha McFarland runs Hawkeye Buffalo & Cattle Ranch in northeast Iowa, an operation focused on grazing livestock in woods and on pasture. She sells bison and beef cuts directly to consumers from her farm, offers farm tours through the summer, and sells Hereford breeding stock. In addition to farming, Martha works for Practical Farmers of Iowa on issues related to farm transition and land access.
