I study the rhetorical strategies women use to accomplish their goals and, specifically, how they interlink food and farming with peace and other social justice issues. I also argue (together with coauthor and Sustainable Agriculture Graduate Program alum Gabrielle Roesch-McNally) that rhetoric scholars can productively collaborate with scientists to address food systems and (together with coauthor Kathleen Hunt) that the dumpster diving documentary Dive can mobilize students’ learning about rhetorical concepts.
