I direct the Sustainable Landscapes & Management (SLAM) Lab in the Department of Horticulture. We focus on aspects of urban forestry and ornamental horticulture including the diversity and availability of nursery stock, mitigating root architectural defects at planting, and soil restoration practices. Our work is centered in the built landscapes of human settlements.
