My research roams around the topics of science-policy interface for climate actions and disaster risk reduction, land use planning, urban and rural environmental problems, food security, waste management, and social aspects of climate change and disasters. Geographically, I explore intersecting topics of planning and climate change in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Pacific, and Continental US regions. Some of the ongoing projects are Co-creating Communities of Climate Resilience during the 2015 Nepal Earthquake, Build Back Better: Finding Synergies Between Disaster Recovery and Climate Actions in Iowa, and Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Planning in Sarkegad Municipality in Humla District, Nepal.
