- Community and Regional Planning
I am a Professor of Urban Planning at ISU, where I serve as the Director of Graduate Education for the Master of Community and Regional Planning program and Director of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Certificate. My research agenda focuses on two primary areas: social justice, with a particular emphasis on climate justice, and environmental planning, with special attention to climate change planning. I frequently use GIS as part of the methodological approach for my research projects. I believe that spatial analysis can facilitate the communication of complex problems, allowing stakeholders to better understand them.
