Vivian M Cook received her B.A. in Performing Arts and French at Iowa State University. Her research and performance focus is on interdisciplinary, community-based collaborations through the performing arts. Vivian is pursuing her Master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Community and Regional Planning as she continues to explore how performance can be used as a tool for science communication and to encourage civic participation in sustainability efforts. She is co-producer for Ames’ Focal Theatre Lab and ISU’s One Day Plays, instructor and board member at Story Theater Company, and member of the Ames Climate Action Team and the EcoTheatre Lab. She served as guest director for the first production of ISU Theatre's 2019-2020 season, Climate Change Theatre Action: Lighting the Way.
